Beginners Training

Step 1: Tour of the Holes and Putting Basics

Getting to know one hole from the tee box to the green. Discussion about all the equipment and its function, and its relation to distance and trajectory. Basic and philosophy of putting; about posture, alignment, swing plane and tempo. Starting the lesson from putting makes the students comfortable, because it looks relatively easy.

Step 2: Chipping Basics

From putting moving to the basics of chipping. Discussion about the importance of grip, and understanding its relation to club face control and compression. Ending with chipping and putting exercises.

Step 3: Pitching Basics

From chipping moving to the basics of pitching. Pitching is very important to master before progressing to full swing strokes, because it is related to wrist hinge (adding power by utilizing wrist rotation); body rotation towards the target and correct grip to ensure that the club face returns square when meeting the ball. Ending with an exercise called L Drill (swing practice without a ball).
